Supporting South Kingstown’s Volunteer Firefighters When It Matters Most.
For over 137 years, the Town of South Kingstown has been served professionally by volunteer firefighters. These men and women not only put their lives on the line each time the fire tones sound, but also spend countless hours attending weekly drills and pursuing continuing education. Should something unfortunate happen to these volunteers, insurance policies only go so far in assisting firefighters and their families with financial obligations. It is in times such as these that firefighters turn to the South Kingstown Firefighters Relief Association.
The South Kingstown Firefighters Relief Association (South Kingstown Firemen’s Relief Association) is a non-profit 501 C-3 (05-0390157) Corporation founded in 1973 that operates independently from the Union & Kingston Fire Districts. The association provides financial and practical assistance beyond what insurance covers, helping volunteers who face unexpected hardship so they can continue serving the community.
